Alex has over 25 years of playing experience, 10 years of experience as a guitar instructor, and over 6 years of experience working with children from Pre-K to 12th grade as an after school supervisor at The International School in San Francisco. Alex has studied a wide variety of styles including folk/fingerstyle, classical, electronic music, metal, and other rock genres. He attended the Cuesta College music program where he received instruction in classical and jazz from great players such as Jeff Miley and Ron McCarly. In 2013 he graduated from the Los Angeles based electronic music/recording arts school Icon Collective. He has released multiple albums with his various projects as well as participated in multiple tours along the west coast and western US. Today Alex can be found performing locally with his old time/folk trio Hither and Yon. Alex’s focus is to cultivate his students’ inspiration while building a strong foundation in their technique and musical knowledge.
